Welcome
On behalf of the TAS2025 organising committee it is our pleasure to welcome colleagues, friends and supporters to the 11th Thomas Ashworth CTC & Liquid Biopsy Symposium (TAS2025). The program will begin at 11.00am on Monday 27th October and close at 3.00pm on Wednesday 29th October 2025. We thank you for your support and being part of this in-person symposium, and we encourage you to take the opportunity to interact and renew friendships, develop new collaborations, and promote liquid biopsy research and its clinical applications.
The aim of the Symposium is to enrich our understanding of the clinical application of liquid biopsy and improve patient outcomes, as well as provide critical insights into the metastatic process and the broader utility of liquid biopsy in different disease settings. Topics that will be explored include circulating tumour cells, exosomes, methylated ctDNA, assay development, early detection, integration of liquid biopsy into clinical trials and precision oncology, treatment selection and monitoring as well as drug resistance monitoring.
This year we will be holding the Symposium over 3 days at the Western Sydney University conference venue located on level 9 of the Peter Shergold Building, 1 Parramatta Square. The theme for this years meeting is "Found in Translation" and will provide scope on the progress toward translating liquid biopsies to the clinic. Once again we will incorporate a Gala conference dinner as part of the social networking aspect of the meeting.
An exciting line up of invited keynote speakers who are international leaders in the field will be showcasing their liquid biopsy research. In addition, invited speakers and speakers selected from submitted abstracts from across Australia, New Zealand and Asia will present their latest research. Two panel discussions are included in the program and are designed to highlight patient perspectives and health professional views with the intent to stimulate debate and are a symposium highlight.
